In the afternoon on Apr.10, 2014, the Beijing Women’s International Center and the American Female Leadership Development Plan (Power) worked together to successfully hold the second Power Beijing, international female leadership exchange activity in Kerry Center. More than one hundred domestic and overseas women representatives from various large and middle-scale enterprises, government bodies, well-known colleges and universities, social organizations and etc. in Beijing, gathered together to communicate with each other on the problems and challenges during career and living, and discuss the way for women grasp development chance and play well their role in such a changing age.
In addition to summarizing successful experience during the first international female leadership exchange activity, this activity pays more attention to integrating professional women representatives of different ages, with different cultural level, from different fields and countries, focuses on comparison and communication regarding experience on prompting female development by each country, and focus more on actual demand for high level female talent with high capacity in China. Furthermore, this activity offers Chinese and English exchange areas, and provides an ability enhancement and deep exchange platform for visitors by leadership training workshop, keynote speech and topic discussion etc.
During the activity, women representatives from various trades and industries discussed the connotative meaning of female leadership, the training of female manager’s ability to make decision and impact, the chance and challenge of female talent in changing age, and the optimization and balance between work and life of professional women. Participants agreed that growth and development of professional women needs the support from government, enterprise and society, and the effort and change of themselves. In particular, government shall formulate more laws and policies to prompt gender equality, and set excellent female model; enterprises shall develop gender diversity policies, and open working women ascending channel; society shall give full play to women's federation and other organizations to set up exchange and development platform for working women; the working women shall make great effort to form objective self-perception, extend social network, maintain physical and mental health, meet challenges with positive attitude, and keep balance between work and family with intelligence of women.
In warm and elegant atmosphere, women on different positions, from different fields, and with different cultural backgrounds, exchanged their views, to get inspiration from each other and establish friendship.
