In order to actively prompt the role of Chinese women in social development, coordinate with national diplomacy, and strengthen nongovernmental contact of women in the two countries, China Women’s Federation invited National Federation of Regional Women's Organization of Japan to have a visit. In the afternoon on Jun. 6, Beijing Women’s Federation on behalf of China Women’s Federation, received the delegation of National Federation of Regional Women's Organization of Japan headed by Shi Zhao Fu zi, containing 14 members. National Federation of Regional Women's Organization of Japan was established since 1952, being the largest national women’s organization in Japan, comprising 4 million members from 47 prefectures nationwide. This organization aims to achieve gender equality, prompt women's political participation, improve family living quality and consumption level, improve social welfare, and safeguard world peace.
During discussion, Beijing Women’s Federation briefed Beijing city and work condition of Beijing Women’s Federation. Later, the delegation visited Social Service Center for Women and Children of Beijing, learned and experienced comprehensive social public services, including comprehensive right defense, entrepreneurship and employment, family education, assistance and household service etc. provided for women and children in Beijing by Beijing Women’s Federation. Both sides discussed children’s right defense, petty loan, issue of supporting old people and etc. Members of the delegation said that they were greatly impressed by the work of Beijing Women’s Federation, through this visit and communication.
Shi Zhao Fu Zi said that international influence gradually increases and social rapid develops after the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The National Federation of Regional Women's Organization of Japan wished to keep contact and establish cooperation relationship with Beijing Women’s Federation, to further communicate with each other through 2020 Olympic Games to be held in Japan, and to keep long live friendship with Chinese women.
