         At the time of 62-year anniversary of National Day of Egypt, in order to prompt cultural exchange and women’s relationship of China and Egypt, Beijing Women’s Federation and the Embassy of Arab Republic of Egypt in China held the China-Egypt Women Cultural Exchange Activity “Smart Lady, always”, including women handicrafts exhibition, women finery exhibition, artistic performance and etc., in order to develop deep exchange and cooperation, prompt friendship between the two countries, and enable women all around the world to create a wonderful world with their wisdom.
         During the activity from Jun. 27 to 29, the Embassy of Egypt in China was opened to the public, so visitors had a chance to enjoy ancient Egyptian statues and papyrus paintings, etc. Besides, they also appreciated fine works of Women Artists Workshop to experience the charm of women clothing of national brand, and enjoyed a dual feast of culture and visual sense.
         On Jun. 27, Ma Lanxia, president, and Zhou Zhijun, vice president of Beijing Women’s Federation attended National Day reception of Egypt, and discussed with Majedi Aamir, ambassador of Egypt in China, on further development of exchange and cooperation of women’s organizations of the two countries. Ma Lanxia and Majedi Aamir exchanged their gifts which were made by female handcrafters of both countries and implied deep sisterhood of women of both countries. During the reception, Beijing Women’s Federation called up Female Professor Association of Capital, Female Principal of Kindergarten Association and etc. to exhibit Chinese folk music, tea art, martial art and other national arts, for the purpose of prompting cultural exchange of women and deepening friendship between both countries by propagandizing and popularizing traditional Chinese culture, women’s handicraft art and national brand etc. During the reception, Wang Chao, vice minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited China-Egypt Women’s Cultural Works Exhibition, and spoke highly of such friendly exchange on the topic of women.
