“We will provide an international stage for exhibition for women in the initial stage of entrepreneurship to help them better achieve their dream of entrepreneurship!” On the afternoon of January 22, in the hall at the first floor of Binggo Café in Zhongguancun Inno Way, women entrepreneurs from all industries in the capital, female youth with the dream of entrepreneurship, representatives of investment companies, representatives of large enterprises, etc. gathered here and carefully listened to the share by the representative from Cartier…2015 first “Beauty of Entrepreneurship - Series Events of Women Entrepreneurship Salon” was held here.
The salon event was officially launched in 2014 and was cosponsored by Beijing Women’s International Center and Binggo Café under the guidance of Beijing Women’s Federation. The series salon events held regularly on a monthly basis aim at inviting successful entrepreneurs from various fields to share their work and life experience with others and giving more women entrepreneurs help in terms of information and resource. In order to help more women entrepreneurs to broad their international visual field, an international competition, i.e. “Cartier Women's Initiative Awards”, customized for women entrepreneurs was jointly launched with Cartier China in this event. Ms. Xu Ying from the Public Propaganda Department of Cartier introduced the specific contents of the competition to participants and specially shares the outstanding performance of Chinese women in previous competitions, including the entrepreneurial story of Chen Chunhong, know as queen of water conservation, etc. She also particularly pointed out that the competition took “innovation, sustainability and social influence” as the judgment criteria, hoping to let more Chinese women step on the international stage through understanding this competition, make active exhibition, and be brave to forge ahead, to obtain international resources and a broad platform for enterprises and their self-growth.
In addition, in the salon event, Emily Roblin, a training expert in effective communication, cross-cultural communication and female leadership, and a symposiastx of the English monthly Women of China, from Canada was invited to make a themed share. As a representative of women entrepreneurship walking ahead in the road of entrepreneurship, Emily Roblin shares her 8 years of experience in transnational entrepreneurship in Canada and China, and discussed with people on the advantages and potential of women entrepreneurship. She also shared the way of influencing others through effective communication, thus enlarging influence, establishing an interpersonal relationship network and assisting the road of entrepreneurship. The unique visual angle and sincere share of Emily Roblin gained applauses from the audiences.
As a representative of sponsor, Zhou Zhijun, vice chairwoman of Beijing Women’s Federation, carefully answered the questions proposed by the participants on site centering on the works carried out by Beijing Women’s Federation through integrating resources to promote women entrepreneurship and employment in the interaction section, and encouraged women entrepreneurs to realize their own value in a brave, independent and confident way. She expressed that Beijing Women’s Federation would set up a resource platform through series activities from the perspective of women and international perspective to help the entrepreneurship and employment of women in various fields in the capital, and that sufficient attention would be paid to the mental challenges encountered by women in the process of entrepreneurship to help women in entrepreneurship achieve a high quality balance between work and life.
In the new year, the “Beauty of Entrepreneurship - Series Events of Women Entrepreneurship Salon” will be held once a month to discuss different topics and invite experts from different fields to provide help and assistance for the entrepreneurship by women in the capital, and be committed to develop into a comprehensive platform integrating resources sharing, career training, enterprise incubator and other functions to create a better life for Chinese and foreign women living in Beijing!
