In order to provide platform support for women to better give play to their innovation ability and achieve their wish of entrepreneurship, Beijing Women’s Federation tried to combine domestic and overseas high quality resources for promoting women development and promoting entrepreneurial ability through building an international diversified platform and actively preparing the construction of an international women entrepreneurship school in recent years. While negotiating with a Spanish women entrepreneurship school, it is also negotiating with Zhongguancun Inno Way and other local parties in Beijing, for the purpose of collecting resources from multiple parties to help women achieve the dream of entrepreneurship and to add power for economic development, social harmony and the world city construction of Beijing.
On the afternoon of December 6, the “Beauty of Entrepreneurship - Series Events of Women Entrepreneurship Salon” cosponsored by Beijing Women’s International Center and Binggo Café under the guidance of Beijing Women’s Federation kicked off in Zhongguancun Inno Way. The series events plan to rely on the domestic new entrepreneurship incubation platform to invite successful entrepreneurs from different fields to share their experience in career and life with others in each month to let more women entrepreneurs absorb the quintessence of success from senior practitioners, find connection points for women entrepreneurship projects and offer thought enlightenment and support for more women entrepreneurs.
As the first station of the events, the sponsors specially invited Dr. Wang Shouhui, an outstanding engineer from IBM China Development Center and the former technical leader of cloud computing research and development from IBM Global Technical Service Department, to discuss the way to give play to feminine characteristics in the Internet era and calmly face various opportunities and challenges in the rapidly changing information era and to share the speculation and breakthroughs brought about by innovative thinking to practitioners and entrepreneurs in various industries. Wang Shouhui concluded that her experience in IBM was established based on self-confidence. For the scrupulousness in the beginning to the later easily facing various occasions, she became more graceful and confident step by step. However, the process of confidence required continuous learning and there should be a strong heart in the learning process. The witty language, unique visual angle and sincere share of Wang Shouhui let site participants appreciate the true elegant demeanour and charm of a women technical leader from a transnational corporation.
In the subsequent site interaction, Zhou Zhijun, vice chairwoman of Beijing Women's Federation, and Qin Jun, chairman and president of TITH Holdings Co., Ltd., also exchanged and discussed with people centering on the theme of women entrepreneurship. When Qin Jun was asked the time for women entrepreneurial team to introduce investment, she said that when the team’s product model, customer model and business model were relatively mature, financing could be considered, regardless of gender. Meanwhile, in financing, attention should be paid to both funds and the promotion and impetus brought about by the resources of financing for the project.
Zhou Zhijun comprehensively introduced the duties and functions of Beijing Women's Federation to all, and expressed that entrepreneurship was a very hard road, requiring a lot of support and help. In recent years, Beijing Women's Federation provided support in multiple aspects, e.g. funds, training, policy, etc. for women entrepreneurship, and strived to integrate domestic and overseas high quality resources through introducing foreign experts, providing specialized technical training, applying for special project support, etc. to assist women entrepreneurship, aiming at creating a social environment paying attention to the growth of women entrepreneurship and helping women to obtain the maximum support and success in the process of entrepreneurship. Through sharing personal experience, Zhou Zhijun proposed his own suggestions and opinions on women’s assumption of responsibilities for family, career, society, etc. and expressed that “union” was the largest characteristic of Beijing Women's Federation. Beijing Women's Federation has fully integrated the resources in all aspects of the government and society to promote the healthy development of women and children and to help more women achieve their road of entrepreneurship and perfect life.
The application for the event was hot online and offline. It attracted many women entrepreneurs’ active participation and there were many from foreign enterprises, colleges and universities and even men on site. People were engaged in a heated discussion and exchange on entrepreneurial financing, family construction, women development and other topics, and expressed their hope for regular participation in the series events of women entrepreneurship salon and obtaining more enlightenments, supports and growth through this platform.
