Beijing Women's Federation received Chinese mission to EU for visit and exchange

On February 6, Jiang Xiaoyan, the spokesman of Chinese mission to the EU and the director of Press and Public Diplomacy Office visited Beijing Women and Children Social Service Center in the company of Zhou Zhijun, the vice chairwoman of Beijing Women’s Federation, and made exchange on carrying out folk diplomatic activities among women and deepening the friendship between Beijing and sister cities in Europe.

Zhou Zhijun introduced the series of international exchange activities carried out by Beijing Women’s Federation in such fields as women’s development, family construction and cultural exchange, etc., with “smart women” as the city card of women folk exchange, and expressed the hope that capital women organizationswould play a unique role in promoting the friendly partnership between China and EU. According to Counselor Jiang Xiaoyan, this visit provided her a better understanding of the eight social services and women fold exchange activities organized by Beijing Women’s Federation and the international vision and innovation vitality of capital women organizations. The mission was willing to serve as a bridge to establish the connection between Beijing Women’s Federation and EU. He said that the year of 2015 was exactly the 40^th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between China and EU, and that the mission would take this opportunity to organize series activities to promote the partnership between China and EU in terms of peace, growth, reform and civilization. She hoped that Beijing Women’s Federation could join in the interaction in fields regardingwomen, children and family and play a unique role to spread the voice of China, promote the understanding between Chinese and European people and link the dream together to create a better future.
