In the afternoon of March 8, 2015, Beijing Women International Exchange Center held international exchange activities on female entrepreneurship in Wangjing SOHO Energy Conservation Center in cooperation with IBM SmartCamp, ShareMBA and other organizations, which presented a special gift for capital women on the International Women’s Day. Outstanding female representatives, successful female entrepreneurs and investors at home and abroad gathered together to exchange and explore the difficulties, challenges and solutions encountered in female entrepreneurship.
Zhou Zhijun, the vice chairwoman of Beijing Women’s Federation was present at the activities and delivered a speech. According to her speech, the Fourth World Conference on Women was held in Beijing 20 years ago and gave birth to the landmark Beijing Declaration and Program of Action to seek gender equality and strive for women's empowerment, and 20 years later, more and more women were tapping their potential in the tide of global entrepreneurship. As a result, they not only realized their own value, but promoted the equal gender development in the society personally.
In the subsequent exchange activities, a number of female entrepreneurs and investors from different industries but with the same belief shared their resources, new knowledge and stories about entrepreneurship. Among them, the leaders of IBM SmartCamp and Wangjing SOHO 3Q, etc. introduced related entrepreneurial resources; international investor representatives made detailed interpretation of the fields and financing regarding female entrepreneurship, and representatives of female entrepreneurs expressed their opinions on team building, strategic positioning and leadership, etc.; also, senior media persons, after-1990s designers, education practitioners and other women entrepreneur representatives told their business stories on growing out of nothing, progressive development and keeping pace with international stage in such fields as feature photography, costume designing, youth science education… In the sincere and warm atmosphere, the people present exchanged opinions and shared experience, and also harvested movement and friendship.
In the future, Beijing Women’s Federation will continue to integrate excellent domestic and foreign entrepreneurial resources, strengthen the cooperation with international women entrepreneurship organizations, set up the international exchange platform on women entrepreneurship and promote women entrepreneurship development in the capital.
