On April 11, 2015,under the guidance of Beijing Women's Federation and Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Third Beijing International Women Festival (2015) jointly held by several organizations including Beijing Women's International Center, Beijing Family Construction Promotion Association, Beijing Marriage and Family Studies Association, Beijing Women's Elite Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, Beijing Dramatists Association, Beijing Aimer Cultural Development Co., Ltd, Beijing Qinghe Jingtian Culture Media Co., Ltd., etc. officiallyraised the curtain in the National Centre for the Performing Arts.
Zhao Shaohua, Chairman of the Drama Festival, member of the National People's Congress Standing Committee and former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Liu Yanning, President of Beijing Family Construction Promotion Association, Li Zhixiang, Vice President of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Tian Qinxin, a famous Chinese theatre director, etc. attended the opening ceremony of the Drama Festival and delivered speeches, in which they affirmed the achievements of drama festivals in promoting transmission of the women's drama culture. Zhou Zhijun, Vice Chairwoman of Beijing Women's Federation, and others also participated in relevant activities.
The Third Beijing International Women Festival (2015), aimed at "Return of Women's Love", had attracted nine plays from all over the world for exhibition. They will give performance in turn in places including the National Centre for the Performing Arts, etc. during April to June, so as to bring about a cultural feast for Chinese and foreign women in Beijing who love drama as well as audience concerning women's drama development.
The Beijing International Women Festival will also create a series of high-quality women-themed cultural activities in an all-round manner before the end of August, such as urban women's life forum, art studio, "Women•Drama•City" themed art exhibition as well as relevant public lectures, etc. Besides, the Drama Festival specially set up the "Huayang Program" (Women's Drama Creation Mentoring Program), which wasdesigned to assistthe female creators dreaming of being scriptwriters/directorstofinish dramatic works and provide career planning guidance for them.
