At the opening ceremony, Zhou Zhijun, vice chairwoman of Beijing Women's Federation pointed out that children are the future of China, and that the China's Children Book EXPO, together with 798 International Children Art Festival, was to create diversified reading experience platforms for the children to light up their childhood with reading, which was really a good try. Wang Yijun, director of Public Service Division of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, also called on parents to guide the children to develop good reading habits from childhood so as to experience the impression and pleasure from books. Artists from countries such as United States, Italy, Korea, China, etc. recommended by "798 International Children Art Festival" also made their art works at the opening ceremony to extend congratulations on the opening of the 1st Session of China's Children Book EXPO.

In the EXPO, the Special Gift for Girls: Reading is Beautiful established by Beijing Women's International Center, as part of the "Hello, My World, My Home!" 2015 Family Reading Day, not only prepared various girl-themed Chinese and foreign children's books for the kids, and advocated the girls to cultivate characters of wisdom, responsibility, confidence and bravery, but also specially invited representatives of Beijing Smart Lady to take the kids to learn handcrafts and experience Chinese traditional culture. The abundant reading and handwork experiences attracted many families, and the parents said that such a distinctively themed activity "can better arouse the children's reading interest and broaden their horizons".
