Beijing Women's Federation

On June 19, 2015, the Exchange Seminar on "Entrepreneurship and Employment in Gender and International Comparison Perspectives" was held in Beijing Academy of Social Sciences. The exchange seminar was co-sponsored by Women's Studies Center of Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, International Exchange Center of Beijing Academy of Social Sciences and Beijing Women's International Center. Experts from the universities and research institutions including University of Wurzburg, Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Renmin University of China, etc. discussed around situation and policies & systems of the international and domestic female entrepreneurship.

Zhou Zhijun, vice chairwoman of Beijing Women's Federation introduced the practices of Beijing Women's Federation for access to the international and domestic resources，and the exploration to establish international collaboration platform for promoting innovation in female entrepreneurship in Beijing.

Doris Fischer, Sinologist and Professor of University of Wurzburg, introduced initiatives of Germany and the European countries in support of female entrepreneurial innovation. Professor Doris Fischer also introduced some academic viewpoints, for example, the European and America think that female entrepreneurship may be anew power to promote economic development after the financial crisis.

Experts including Tang Xin, director of Survey and Research Center of Beijing of the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences and secretary-general of the Beijing World City Research Base, Han Zhongliang, director of Beijing Women's International Center, Jiang Shuge, deputy director of Institute of Sociology and director of Center for Women's Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Han Jialing, researcher of Institute of Sociology, etc. gave their viewpoints about current situation of female entrepreneurship, development of female human resources, promotion of female entrepreneurship policies, etc. in Beijing in the new era from different dimensions and proposed suggestions to guide the practices.
