Visiting Wangjing Floating Women's Home
On the morning of July 10, Beijing Women's Federation received friendly visit of 12 people from ASEAN - China, Japan and Korea (10+3) Women's Organization Training Class in the Community Service Station in Zone II of Nanhu Xiyuan, Wangjing Street, Chaoyang District.
Official representatives of women's institutions and organizations from countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Burma, Vietnam, etc. came together with the delegation. They came to China at the invitation of the All-China Women's Federation to participate in the training class for "Mainstreaming of Social Gender Consciousness and Building of Social Management Capability" sponsored by Beijing Women's Federation.
Under the guidance of the community director, the delegation paid an overall visit to the Community Service Station. In the subsequent exchange, directors of Wangjing Street and Women's Home briefly introduced basic information about the community and the Women's Home's developing work concerning women. During the discussion, the delegation expressed strong interest for the community's developing "the Most Beautiful Family" Selection Activity, floating women's home, child protection programs, etc., launched heated discussions about relevant activity standards, details, etc., and expressed heartfelt praise for the community's overcoming the many difficulties such as large population, wide distribution, diversified level, etc. to actively develop fruitful work concerning women.
