Conference on Innovation & Entrepreneurship of Beijing's Female College Students

On the afternoon of September 2, the "Conference on Innovation & Entrepreneurship of Beijing's Female College Students" co-hosted by Beijing Women Professors' Association and Beijing Women's International Center with the guidance of Beijing Women's Federation was held in Peking University School of Economics. Meng Lihong, patron of the "Booster Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Female College Students in Beijing", standing committee member of Beijing Women's Federation and vice chairwoman and general manager of Clifford Group, Sun Qixiang, president of Beijing Women Professors' Association and dean of Peking University School of Economics, director of Beijing Women's International Center as well as entrepreneurial representatives among female students from colleges including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, University of International Business and Economics, etc. developed exchanges and discussions together with representatives of entrepreneurship mentors for college students around the issues about innovation and entrepreneurship of female college students, etc.

Sun Qixiang expressed thanks to Beijing Women's Federation for the efforts and contributions it has been making for innovation and entrepreneurship of female college students. She said, the conference today, as perfectly representative with delegations from all around the world gathered together, successfully opened the "Booster Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Female College Students in Beijing". According to her, a group of aspiring, ambitious and passionate young female college students, when coming across mission-driven, responsible and capable female entrepreneurs and women's organizations, will surely fulfill a grand success.
Meng Lihong also said that well organized campuses lead to a powerful country, and that education can change one's life and even the whole country. As a female entrepreneur, she hopes to try her best to do more meaningful things, so as to contribute women's growth. Moreover, she hopes to help more female college students in their innovation and entrepreneurship through this project, so that they can help more people after growth and success, and build China into a world power with our joint efforts.

In the subsequent communication, it is generally felt that the female groups have psychology, physiology and personality and thinking characteristics based on gender-related difference, while college period is an important stage for the young women to establish outlooks on world, life and value; in this sense, it is highly important and necessary to implement "Booster Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Female College Students in Beijing". The mentors and students participating in the conference developed exchanges about their entrepreneurship projects such as international innovation & entrepreneurship competitions, female entrepreneurship incubator in technology and Internet field, helping the overseas students to know China as soon as possible, online psychological mutual assistance, etc., where the intelligence and wisdom and desire for innovation and entrepreneurship of contemporary female college students were fully demonstrated through their international perspectives and novel and confident representations.

In the end, it is unanimously agreed that such conference, where people get together to discuss the opportunities and challenges, advantages and disadvantages, success experience and failure lessons for innovation and entrepreneurship of female college students, is a very effective form and mechanism. Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship of female college students is a long and challenging journey, but it is believed that, with the support and help from the colleges, enterprises, women's organizations and other sides, the female college students will no longer be lonely during innovation and entrepreneurship. The conference came to a successful end in heated discussions.
