On the afternoon of September 19, Beijing Women’s International Center and the technological entrepreneurship incubator for women – TechBase joined hands to hold the Entrepreneurial Exchange Activity for Chinese and American Women at M Theatre of Oriental Media Center. Themed on “Linking the World with the Beauty of Science and Technology”, the activity invited more than one hundred women representatives and representative business incubators with the backgrounds of entrepreneurs in China and the U.S. for attendance.

In the opening speech, the leader of Beijing Women’s International Center introduced the international exchange activities organized by Beijing Women’s Federation to help and support the capital women’s innovation and entrepreneurship by integrating superior international resources.

During topic exchange, the guests from different areas shared their experience in combination with their own background of internationalization and entrepreneurial experience, such as how to achieve localized development of international companies, challenges and opportunities for   professional managers in cross-border business, similarities and differences of entrepreneurship for Chinese and American women, incubation of technological entrepreneurship projects for women, etc. Zhang Fan  analyzed the team building, human resources management and other problems in the localized development of international companies in combination with her experience of founding Linkedin China. Li Dai, the former General Manager China of Channel [V] and founder of Zebra Media, shared her cross-border experience from a professional manager to an entrepreneur. Li Ningzi, an after-1990s representative entrepreneur and CEO of fashion cross-border e-business Pair, explained the similarities and differences of Chinese and American incubators by sharing her experience of studying in China and the U.S. and three business ventures with the support of Silicon Valley incubator Plug & Play and ZhenFund. Ling Zihan, founder of the technological entrepreneurship incubator for women – TechBase, compared the differences in development of the Internet and search engines in China and the U.S. from the perspective of returnee entrepreneurs and business incubators.

In the subsequent discussion, the guests held discussions with the audience about selection of entrepreneurship areas for women, how to realize the Internet+ in traditional industries, financing and team building for female entrepreneurship, policy support for female entrepreneurship and other topics.
