The 8th Session of the Beauty of Entrepreneurship - Female Entrepreneurship Salon


Visit of Foreign Guests to Zhongguancun Entrepreneurship Street before the salon Took Place

On the afternoon of October 20, 2015, The 8th Session of the Beauty of Entrepreneurship - Female Entrepreneurship Salon Series Activities was held at Zhongguancun Entrepreneurship Street, jointly by Beijing Women's International Center and Qingqingchuan BinggoCafe under the guidance of Beijing Women's Federation, and was listed as one of the series of events taking place at Beijing main venue “Zhongguancun Innovation Entrepreneurship Season” of the first “National Public Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week”. The event “2015 Leadership Training Course for  Female Officials from Developing Countries”, which was sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by China Women’s University, also attracted, in addition to Beijing’s female entrepreneurs, more than 50 foreign guests from more than 20 countries, who shared relevant experience in female entrepreneurship at home and abroad.

The salon was held on the theme of “Internet Opens up a Golden Era of Female Start-up”. In the session of keynote speech, three females (Ling Zihan, Founder and CEO of Female Entrepreneurship Accelerator TechBase Base Camp; Zhao Yuying, Co-Founder and Chief Experience Officer of Valet Parking App – YouBo and Pu Yu, a Chinese American, also the Founder and CEO of Traveling life APP – YOLOBOO) at the leading edge of internet entrepreneurship were specially invited. They shared their own feelings and perceptions about their entrepreneurship from several perspectives, such as the advantages and challenges of female entrepreneurship in the Internet age, how to succeed in entrepreneurship from female perspective, and the differences between entrepreneurship environments for domestic and overseas females. In the final dialogue session, the participants raised many questions regarding orientation of the areas for female entrepreneurship, females’ requirements for entrepreneurship environment and the balance between family and career, which were answered patiently by the distinguished guests.

When attending the event of National Public Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week on October 19, 2015, Premier Minister Li Keqiang said: “entrepreneurs and innovators are the heroes of this age.” As an important part of the entrepreneurship ranks, female entrepreneurs are becoming the heroines of this age by virtue of their wisdom and efforts. In future, the event “Beauty of Entrepreneurship – Female Entrepreneurship Salon” will continuously invite the entrepreneurship guests of all walks of life to share their entrepreneurship experience with the females at home and abroad, and at the same time, help to present the capital females’ image of aggressiveness and innovation, and demonstrate the harmonious and inclusive atmosphere of the livable city - Beijing for supporting the development of females.
