In order to actively response to the “female innovation and entrepreneurship campaign” initiated by All-China Women's Federation, Beijing Women's Federation, on the strength of the capital’s core functions and superior resources, guided a large number of women in taking active part in entrepreneurship and innovation activities amid the new normal of the economic development. It introduced the competence training course “innovation and entrepreneurship promotion plan for capital’s female college students”.
The course was presented by IBM (International Business Machine) Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs, and attended by more than 60 excellent female college students and female entrepreneurs recommended by Beijing Female Professor Association. It took place from October 29 to 30 and from November 4 to 5, 2015.
In the four-day training course which was closely aligned with “the important role of female leadership promotion in innovation and entrepreneurship”, three senior training instructors from IBM encouraged female college students in active thinking and participation by means of living examples, leading questions, scenario simulation and other new teaching methods, inspired the students to make bold changes and innovations, and analyzed how different leadership styles could bring about efficient cooperation through coordination and communication during innovation and entrepreneurship.
The plan was backed by Meng Lihong, member of the standing committee of Beijing Women's Federation and vice-president and general manager of Clifford Group, initiated by Beijing Women's Federation, and sponsored jointly by Beijing Female Professor Association, Beijing Women and Children's Development Foundation and Beijing Women's International Center. It was designed to provide targeted and practical support for female college students who study in Beijing and have creative and entrepreneurial spirit, with broadly integrated resources from government, enterprise, colleges and universities, society, etc.
