Visit of the Delegation to Beijing Women and Children Social Service Center

On the afternoon of November 2, 2015, Beijing Women's Federation received a delegation led by professor Ute·Erin—Hutexi, member of Bavarian state parliament, Germany and member of the district presidium of Upper Bavaria Women’s League, accompanied by leaders of Hanns Seidel Stiftung resident in Beijing.

Hanns Seidel Stiftung is an affiliate of Christian Social Union (CSU) which is ruling the German state of Bavaria and whose leader is concurrently a director of the foundation. All-China Women's Federation maintains a good cooperative relationship with the foundation, and they recognized “women and housekeeping service industry” as one of the key areas of their cooperation in May 2015, around the 10th anniversary of their cooperation. This visit was aimed at further learning about the participation and benefits of Chinese women in housekeeping service industry, so as to make preparations for specific China-Germany cooperation in this area.

At the symposium, Li Dajing, honorary chairman of Beijing Homemaking Service Association, gave a brief introduction of Beijing housekeeping service industry. The delegation had a lively discussion with leaders of Beijing Homemaking Service Association and Beijing Women Service Center about training of housekeeping management personnel, rating of housekeeping service organizations and other issues. Following the symposium, the delegation visited Beijing Women and Children Social Service Center.

Professor Ute·Erin—Hutexi said, she was impressed by the practices and service concept of Beijing Women's Federation in housekeeping service industry, particularly by the comprehensive and meticulous orientation training provided for housekeeping personnel, and that they could share the experience and practices in Germany’s vocational education with the Chinese side, and hoped to expand cooperation between both sides with regard to the subjects of women, housekeeping service industry, etc.

Leaders of the Europe Division of International Department of All-China Women's Federation, Beijing Women Service Center and Beijing Women's International Center also accompanied in the visit.
