Event of the “Innovation and Application of Floral Art Skills Program”
for Chinese and South Korean Women

On November 12-18, 2015, the “Innovation and Application of Floral Art Skills Program” involving Chinese and South Korean women was successfully held in Xicheng District. The trainees taking part in the event obtained South Korea’s intermediate certificate for flower arrangement issued by Korea Floral Art Composers Association and Korea-China Human Resources Developing Center as well as the professional certificate granted by Beijing Female Vocational Training School. The program highlighted inclusiveness, innovation and public good.

South Korea’s flower arrangement training system effectively helps to improve women’s entrepreneurial ability. Based on the strategy of “accelerating reinvigoration of China through human resource development” set out in “13th Five-year Plan”, Beijing Women's Federation has significantly helped women in improving their creative and entrepreneurial ability by intensifying attraction of international innovative talents, introducing elementary and intermediate training systems on floral art skills from South Korea through talent attraction program, and focusing on promotion of commercial application mode.

The concept of innovation and environmental protection inspire women for entrepreneurship. The South Korean experts’ innovations in floral art and their practice of recycling floral waste gave women innovative and entrepreneurial ideas.

The public good caring about society spreads the love of Chinese and South Korean women. Through philanthropy and charity bazaar of works, the teachers and trainees created a warm winter for the elderly people in retirement home, women with cervical cancer and breast cancer and needy children and promoted good social effect of the program.

As a demonstration & popularization project for the 2015 Beijing program of introducing foreign technical and management talents, the “Innovation and Application of Floral Art Skills Program” is an important extension under the strategic cooperation framework agreement between Beijing Women's Federation and Korea-China Friendship Association of Culture & Economy, and was organized jointly by Beijing Women's International Center, Beijing Women Cadres' School and Beijing Women’s Federation of Xicheng District.
