Ina Marciulionyte, the Lithuanian ambassador to China, visited Beijing Women's Federation on May 3, to meet with the federation's president, Ma Lanxia, and vice-president, Zhou Zhijun.
Ma extended her warm welcome to the ambassador, briefly introducing the main issues affecting the development of women and children in the capital, as well as introducing the main work activities carried out by the organization.
At the meeting, Marciulionyte said she admired the federation's achievements in obtaining local services for women and children. She also shared the current situation of the development of women's equal rights and interests in her own nation.
Both sides expressed their expectation for further communication in terms of culture, safeguarding rights and women's equal development in the future. They said they wished to deepen their bilateral friendship through mutual understanding and cooperation, and by consolidating and expanding relations between the two countries.
