The delegation was lead by Lu Anna Wang, local secretary-general and president of the organization.
ICFA was founded in June 2013. It aims to promote cooperation between the two countries in areas such as politics, science and technology, culture, sports, education and trade. The board members of the association consist of representatives from the country’s regional government, municipal government, large-scale organizations and major enterprises.
The visit was designed to help the visitors better understand the current development status of women and children in the capital, as well as the main work carried out by Beijing Women’s Federation. Officials also discussed the women's cooperative project planned for the 2019 European Cultural Celebration in the Italian city of Matera.
Zhao Lijun, vice-president of Beijing Women’s Federation, extended her greetings to the delegation, and accompanied them on a tour of the center.
Zhao introduced the main work of the federation, and the development status of Beijing women and children. Afterward, she expressed hope that the two women's organizations could strengthen communication and cooperation, and deepen their friendship in terms of mutual interaction.
