On October 13, Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, in collaboration with the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, organized an event in Beijing, aimed at fostering friendly exchanges between Africans and Chinese. Over 100 participants, including African experts and students from 23 countries, took part in the event. As a member of the association, Beijing Women's Federation sent representatives to share stories of friendly exchanges between Chinese and African women.

During the event, individuals such as Fadhili Mpunji, a Tanzanian broadcaster and commentator who has received the Chinese Government Friendship Award, Joseph Olivier Mendo'o, a Cameroonian and one of the representatives of young foreigners who had written to and received replies from Chinese President Xi Jinping twice, Dong Bin, Chief Representative of the Sino-International Entrepreneurs Federation, Chen Cong, a member of the Capital High-End Think Tank Council at the Beijing Administration Institute, Liu Qinghai, a doctor from Xuanwu Hospital’s medical team providing aid abroad, and African students in Beijing, shared insights from various perspectives such as international communication, trade, think tanks, healthcare, culture, and youth, on promoting friendship between China and Africa.

Li Yue, Director of the Beijing Women's International Center, introduced Beijing Women's Federation's commitment to the principle of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith and the promotion of friendly exchanges between Chinese and African women in various fields. In recent years, the federation has hosted government leaders, first ladies, and women's delegations from nearly 30 African countries such as Egypt, Benin, and Comoros, sharing Beijing's experiences in empowering women economically and providing services for women and children. Activities like the "Celebrating the International Day of Families" event and the "She Loves Tech" global startup competition are held annually to promote close interactions between Chinese and African women in areas like family, culture, and technological innovation. The Beijing Action Plan (2025-2027) of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation has outlined a grand blueprint for women and youth work, guiding the federation to continue walking hand in hand with African sisters to advance women and children's causes and jointly create a better future.

The African guests visited Lize SOHO (a business area) and Beijing Garden Expo Park, to learn about the current construction status of the southern gateway of Beijing and the development plans for Fengtai. They heard stories about Eve Group’s project that uncovers traditional culture and boosts the income of women artisans to alleviate poverty. They also experienced cultural heritage projects such as cloisonné enamel, painted Peking opera masks, dough figurines, and folding fans. Through lively interactions, this event deepened the understanding of Beijing among African friends, strengthened ties between African friends and people from various sectors in the capital, and contributed positively to building a new era of all-weather China-Africa community of shared future through people-to-people channels.
