BWF Hosts Women-Led Household Services Promotion and Matchmaking Conference
Date:2024-12-24 10:43:52 Views:On December 20, the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF) hosted the Women-Led Household Service Promotion and Matchmaking Conference, aiming to explore diverse and targeted matchmaking approaches, foster entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for urban and rural women, and facilitate the high-quality development of household service consumption.
Held at Yang’eryu Beili Community, Dongfeng Street, Fangshan District, Beijing, the event brought together women’s federations from Hebei, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Shanxi, and Gansu to promote and showcase household service brands. Over 100 participants attended, including representatives from provincial and city-level women’s federations from these four provinces, 16 district federations in Beijing, and women-led household service enterprises based in the capital.
Beijing has become a major hub for labor in the household service industry, with households in the capital increasingly seeking high-quality, diversified, and personalized services—particularly in elderly care, childcare, and nursing. This conference aimed to achieve two objectives: first, to showcase the achievements of the four provinces and women-led household service brands operating in Beijing; and second, to establish a platform that effectively connects the supply of household service workers from these regions with the demands of enterprises in the capital. These goals were realized by leveraging the networks of urban and rural women’s federations and working mechanisms such as the coordinated development of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, east-west cooperation, collaborations with counterparts, and inter-provincial partnerships.
During the promotion and showcase session, women’s federations from various provinces highlighted household service brands, including “Hebei Fusao · Yanzhao Household Services” by Hebei, Beijiang Liangjie” by Inner Mongolia, “Jinjie Household Services” by Shanxi, and “Longyuan Mei” by Gansu. The session also featured 40 women-led household service enterprises from these four provinces. As part of the showcase of the capital’s household service brands, three award winners from the National and Beijing Women-Led Household Service Vocational Skills Competition shared their experiences, emphasizing passion, professionalism, and entrepreneurship. Representatives from enterprises in the capital also participated in exhibitions and exchange activities.
During the exchange and matchmaking session, provincial and 12 city-level women’s federations from the four provinces held in-depth discussions with 16 district-level women’s federations in Beijing and 30 Beijing-based household service enterprises. Moving forward, efforts will center on leveraging brand strengths to enhance collaboration, drive innovation, build robust collaboration networks, and expand the high-quality supply of household services. These initiatives will not only address employment challenges for women in the four provinces but also meet the growing needs of the capital’s residents, ultimately improving livelihoods and stimulating domestic demand.
At the same time, the BWF is using this event as an opportunity to inspire women-led household service enterprises in the capital to prioritize integrity and professional development, strengthen their “golden brands,” and take on leadership roles within the industry, highlighting women’s significant role in driving the high-quality development of the capital’s household service industry.
