Women’s Development Exchange and Sharing Session of the 28th Beijing-Taiwan Science and Technology Forum Held in Beijing
Date:2025-9-22 10:28:30 Views:The 28th Beijing-Taiwan Science and Technology Forum was held in Beijing from September 19 to 21, 2025. As a key part of the forum, the Women’s Development Exchange and Sharing Session was successfully held on the morning of September 20 at the Cross-Strait Sci-Tech Innovation Center. Guided by the Beijing Women’s Federation, the event was co-sponsored by the Beijing Association for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Compatriots and Overseas Chinese Women and the Taiwan Women’s Elite Alliance, and co-sponsored by the Women’s Work Committee of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area and the Kaohsiung Industrial and Commercial Association of Taiwan.
Zhang Yajun, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairperson of the Beijing Women’s Federation; Liu Xianchuan, Deputy Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and First-Level Inspector; Lei Xiaoning, Vice Chairperson of the Beijing Women’s Federation; as well as Huang Xihui, President of the Taiwan Women’s Elite Alliance; He Zhirong, Vice President of the Taiwan Women’s Elite Alliance; Lei Qian, Committee Director of the Chinese Women’s League of Taiwan; and Mao Yanru, Chairperson of the Kaohsiung Industrial and Commercial Association of Taiwan, attended the forum. More than 80 female entrepreneurs, technical professionals, and women’s group representatives, as well as figures from the education and culture sectors from both Beijing and Taiwan, gathered together to discuss cutting-edge topics under the theme “Integrating Her Wisdom, Advancing Towards Innovation”, and jointly explored new opportunities for women’s development across the Strait.
Zhang Yajun stated in her address that the women’s session of the Beijing-Taiwan Science and Technology Forum has become a vital bridge connecting hearts and minds and pooling wisdom after 14 years of development. She also noted that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, which is a historical memory shared by all Chinese people. She proposed that, based on kinship bonds, both sides should strengthen people-to-people bonds and jointly build a promising future for the integrated development across the Strait. She emphasized that exchange and cooperation serve as a bridge, encouraging more women to ride the waves at the frontiers of technology and pursue their dreams in innovative practices, in the hope that sisters from both sides of the Strait would showcase women’s determination, strength and beauty in achieving shared successes hand in hand.
Huang Xihui, as the honorary head of the delegation, led a delegation from the Taiwan Women’s Elite Alliance to attend the meeting in Beijing.
He Zhirong delivered a speech on behalf of the Taiwan Women’s Elite Alliance. She warmly reflected on the efforts of women’s organizations on both sides in advancing cross-strait exchanges through women’s unique soft influence. She also highlighted women’s distinctive leadership qualities and diverse perspectives, calling for collaborative efforts between sisters in Beijing and Taiwan to build a shared future shaped with inclusive and human-centered “Her Wisdom”.
Lei Qian stated in her address that technological innovation presents a significant opportunity to promote equal development. She called for stronger cooperation among women across the Strait in areas like family education, cultural inheritance and elderly care services. By deepening exchanges and integration, she emphasized the need to jointly build a fair, inclusive and sustainable society.
Mao Yanru said in her speech that a growing number of women are making remarkable contributions to the technology industry through their creativity and strength. She expressed the hope that sisters from Beijing and Taiwan would fully leverage the platform of this sharing session to empower each other, jointly promote a more diverse and courageous presence of women in the sector, and usher in an era of innovation defined by women’s leadership.

The forum featured four themed speech sessions: “Digital Empowerment · New Economic Ecosystem”, “Green Technology · Sustainable Development”, “Life Sciences · Shared Smart Health” and “Cross-Border Integration · Connecting for a Shared Future.” In a “Beijing-Taiwan pairing” format, distinguished speakers, included Li Xueying, Party Secretary and Chairperson of Topsec Technologies Group; Hou Yuhan, Marketing Director of Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd.; Jin Yiqun, Director and General Manager of Beijing Wehand-Bio Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.; Yang Xiujuan, Party Secretary and Director of the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture; alongside guests from Taiwan, such as Zhang Xiaolei, General Manager of True Beauty Co., Ltd.; Wu Sunv, Chairperson of ProGreens New Energy Technology Company; Li Shuzhen, CEO of Xiangxiang Precision Glycemic Control Biotechnology Co., Ltd.; and Liao Qianhui, Art Director of TokenBacon. Together, they shared their cutting-edge practical achievements and insights in digital technology application, clean energy development, healthcare innovation, and cross-border integration of technology and art, showcasing the innovative power and unique contributions of women from Beijing and Taiwan across diverse fields.
During the interactive exchange session, the guests engaged in lively discussions on the topic “How can women create and enjoy a happy life while advancing technological innovation?” They sincerely shared their experiences in fields such as art, cultural creativity, and health wellness, further deepening mutual understanding and creating a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the venue.
The forum concluded with the release of the initiative “Blooming Women’s Beauty—Women’s Partnership Action Plan for Beijing-Taiwan Digital Economy Innovation Development”. Eight women representatives from Beijing and Taiwan jointly presented the initiative, calling for stronger exchanges and collaboration between women across the Strait, sharing development achievements, and jointly embarking on a new journey of integrated development in the era of the digital economy.
