Date:2026-5-20 14:22:27 Views:On the morning of May 20, Zhou Zhijun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the Beijing Women’s Federation (BWF), led a delegation to Chaoyang District to conduct special research on the work of women’s organizations in emerging fields and the construction of a child-friendly city. Zhao Hongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Vice-President of the BWF, and Han Xue, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chaoyang District Committee and Chief of the United Front Work Department, participated in the visit.
At the Wangjing Sub-district New-Quality Industry Accelerator, the delegation learned in detail about the Sub-district’s efforts to strengthen women’s organization development under the guidance of Party building and to serve female entrepreneurs, professional women, and groups in new business sectors through the “Triple-Benefit” Model (Empowering Women, Enterprise, and Family). As Chaoyang District’s first government-led, sub-district-level technology enterprise incubation platform, the accelerator integrates eight categories of government services through a “government guidance + market operation + university collaboration + enterprise participation” mechanism. It also introduced the District Women’s Promotion Association to establish a “Women Micro-Home” studio, which regularly organizes forums and empowerment activities for women.

At the “Yumeng Chaoyang” child-friendly growth space, the delegation visited functional areas including the library, art workshop, and “Caring Moms” station. They learned about the community’s efforts to strengthen the “Caring Moms” brand, explore coordinated education through “family-school-community-medical” collaboration, and provide targeted support for children in difficult circumstances. Co-established by the Chaoyang District Culture and Tourism Bureau and Wangjing Sub-district, the space focuses on aesthetic education and hosts over 100 activities annually. It has been selected as part of the second batch of nationally recognized replicable experiences for building child-friendly urban spaces.

During the subsequent symposium, the delegation listened to remarks from executive committee members of the Beijing Women’s Federation, representatives from district-level women’s federations, and women representatives from various industries.

Zhou Zhijun fully affirmed the innovative practices and solid work carried out by grassroots women’s organizations. She noted that, with the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, women’s organizations at all levels must firmly establish a correct understanding of governance performance and proactively integrate women’s work into the overall development of the capital in the new era. She emphasized the importance of focusing on the expectations and needs of women and children and the following key priorities, such as family education, the protection of women’s rights, the development of child-friendly cities, and the improvement and expansion of the domestic services sector. She also called on women’s federations to fully leverage the strengths of their organizational network, strengthen organizational coverage and effectiveness, and support women’s development so they can grow, succeed, and realize their value across all areas of economic and social life.
