Huang Leads CPC Delegation to Iceland
Date:2025-3-18 9:59:00 Views:Huang Xiaowei, Member of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Vice-President of the All-China Women's Federation, led a CPC delegation during a visit to Iceland between March 14-16, 2025.
Huang met Thorunn Sveinbjarnardottir, Speaker of the Parliament of Iceland, Thorgerdur Katrin Gunnarsdottir, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland, and Katrin Jakobsdottir, former Prime Minister of Iceland. Huang held discussions and exchanges with the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee.
Huang outlined Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the guiding principles of this year's annual sessions of China's top legislature and political advisory body, by combining a review of China's fresh progress in advancing Chinese modernization and of China's great achievements in the cause of women's and children's development. Huang also exchanged views on deepening China-Iceland relations and strengthening women's cooperation with the Icelandic side.
Iceland's representatives said they are willing to strengthen communication and mutual learning with China, deepen cooperation among women and within various sectors, and advance the countries' relations.
