Charitable Project Launched to Increase Women’s Participation in Scientific Research

China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) recently launched a charitable project to promote womens participation in scientific research under the guidance of the Department for Women's Development of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) at a ceremony in Beijing. Dong Kui, secretary-general of the CWDF, attended the inaugural ceremony.

Feng Zhaohui, deputy director-general of the ACWF Department for Women's Development, said that ACWF attaches great importance to the development of women sci-tech workers and has worked with government bodies to implement the Women's Action for Scientific and Technological Innovation campaign and has adopted measures to support the development of women sci-tech workers, especially women college students.

The first session of the project was held in Beijing and four other provincial regions. Women teachers from Tsinghua University and other institutions of higher education will guide college students to take part in scientific research, share their scientific findings and encourage students to get involved in scientific research.
